Consul General of Russia in Mumbai H.E. Mr Aleksei Surovtsev Took Part in the Ceremony of Commissioning Destroyer "Mormugao"

On December 18 at the invitation of the Headquarters of the Indian Navy, Consul General H.E. Mr Aleksei V. Surovtsev took part in the ceremony of commissioning the destroyer “Mormugao” equipped with guided missile weapons. From the Russian side the event was also attended by the Deputy General Director of JSC Rosoboronexport Mr Andrey Chekmarev and the officers of the Representation of the Rostec State Corporation in India.

The ceremony took place at the naval base of the Western Naval Command of the Navy in Mumbai with the participation of the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh, the command of the Indian Navy and the leadership of the military-industrial complex. In addition, the event was attended by the Hon’ble Governor of the State of Goa H.E. Mr Sreedharan Pillai and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa H.E. Mr Pramod Sawant as Guests of Honour.
